How alcohol affects weight loss
The most important negative impact is dehydration. In this case, cells not only lose water, but also the minerals and trace elements we need, which play a key role in metabolism and, therefore, in reducing orweight gain.
Under the influence of alcohol, it is easier for a person to break the prohibitions, eat more than intended, and satisfy more satisfying dishes. As a product, alcohol has no nutritional value, our bodies consume calories from it in the first place, but all that is left of it will be brushed aside.
Alcohol has been shown to reduce testosterone levels and impair digestion, which also leads to weight gain for desired weight loss.
What kind of alcohol does not affect your diet much
Obviously, sweet wine contains a lot of calories and dieting is not allowed. Ethyl alcohol itself has 710 kcal per 100 gram, meaning that all spirits are high in calories as well.
Foods that are excluded from the diet include all sweet, semi-sweet and fortified wines, champagne, liqueurs and cahors. It is better not to consume beer during weight loss: despite its low nutritional value, it contains phytoestrogen, which slows down metabolism and promotes the growth of fatty tissues in the body.
Can drink one or two glasses of dry wine, the volume is about 150-200 ml. Wine can be red or white, depending on your preference, with a strength of 7-11%.
What to eat, drink while on a diet
If you are tracking your weight, choose a snack:
- low-fat cheese;
- grilled or boiled chicken, turkey, beef, veal;
- grilled, steamed or boiled vegetables;
- fish (except fried and smoked);
- lemon.
To reduce the overall harm caused by alcohol exposure, it is most important not to overdo it, not to drink too much. Try to limit strong alcohol and sugary drinks.
